Piccadilly Circus
Piccadilly is a historic and vibrant street in London’s West End, stretching from Piccadilly Circus to Hyde Park Corner. It’s known for its luxury shopping, cultural landmarks, and iconic institutions. Highlights include The Ritz London, a world-renowned luxury hotel, and Fortnum & Mason, a prestigious department store famous for its fine foods and teas. The Royal Academy of Arts, which hosts major exhibitions, and St. James’s Church, a Baroque church designed by Sir Christopher Wren, add to the cultural richness of the area.
At its eastern end lies Piccadilly Circus, a bustling public space often compared to Times Square for its illuminated signs and central location. The famous Statue of Eros sits at its heart, serving as a major London landmark. Piccadilly is also a hub for high-end shopping, with traditional stores like Hatchards, the UK’s oldest bookshop, and Burlington Arcade, an elegant shopping passage nearby, making it a key destination for both tourists and locals.
